T.E.A.C.H. Drama, a group of homeschooled students from Lancaster and Berks Counties, will perform the play “I Remember Mama” under the direction of Mr. Stan Deen at Living Waters Theatre on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.
“I Remember Mama,” adapted for stage by John Van Druten, is a heartwarming tale based on Kathryn Forbes’ memoir, “Mama’s Bank Account.” The play begins with the aspiring writer, Katrin Hanson, completing the last lines of her autobiographical novel. With fond affection, she describes scenes from her life growing up in San Francisco in the early 1900’s. Through Katrin’s eyes, the audience gets a glimpse of the Hanson family’s simple joys and struggles as they try to adapt their traditional Norwegian lifestyle to life in America. You’ll see that, most of all, it is Mama who guides the family with a quiet strength and unfailing love through all of life’s ups and downs.
“I Remember Mama” is directed by locally renowned Mr. Stan Deen. This is his tenth full-length production for T.E.A.C.H.
Shown in the photo, from left to right, is Amy High, Michael DiPuppo, Becky Weaver, Madison Woodruff, Corey Gentile and Brenna Snavely.
