Adamstown Area Library 9th Annual Benefit Dinner/Auction

Please join the Friends of the Adamstown Area Library for their 9th Annual “Bucks for Books” Dinner and Auction to benefit the Adamstown Area Library. The event will take place on Saturday, November 8 at Stoudt’s Black Angus Restaurant in Adamstown. Last year’s event was such a success that you won’t want to miss it this year. It is always an entertaining and fun-filled evening and the Friends largest fundraiser.
A preview will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by a delicious dinner at 5:15 p.m. The auction, un-der the direction of auctioneers Art Pannebecker and Brad Wolf, will begin at 6:30 p.m. There is a cost for tickets. Walk-ins for the auction are welcome after 6:00 p.m. at no charge. Tickets are av-ailable from any Friends Board member or at the library. Again, there will be a silent auction and a live auction. Items to be sold in-clude a hand-crafted willow Ches-hire-style picnic basket for two, several oil paintings, a “Cloister” style birdhouse, handknitted and handmade items, gift certificates for local restaurants, tickets to the Rainbow Dinner Theatre, several opportunities for good eating, including a lasagna dinner for six and a tea party for six. There are many gift baskets, a one week stay at a home in Sarasota, Florida, certificates for green fees to a local golf course, beautiful homemade cakes and two tabletop water fountains.
