This month, the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 10th Annual Ephrata Cup golf tournament at Hawk Valley Golf Club. This year’s tournament will take place on Wednesday, July 27 with registration at 12:00 p.m. and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
The format of this year’s golf tournament is six holes scramble, six holes best shot and six holes alternate shot. In addition to the competition, there will also be an appetizing menu that includes lunch and dinner, contests and special prizes and an awards ceremony. Golfers will have the opportunity that day to attempt to get a hole-in-one on each of the Par 3s, strive to get closest to the pin and try to make the longest and straightest drive as they compete for the top spots in exciting contests throughout the tournament. Trophies will be awarded to the top three foursomes with the lowest team scores, with the top team taking home the travelling Ephrata Cup trophy that they can display for the year.
This year’s Ephrata Cup would not be possible without all of the sponsors and volunteers. The Chamber would like to extend a special thank you to this year’s event sponsor, Retreat of Lancaster County. For more information on available sponsorship opportunities or to register your foursome or individual spot, please call the office at 717-738-9010.
