Ephrata Chamber Supports Shelter

The Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce held its traditional Business After Hours Mixer. The event is only one of the many throughout the year that is designated as a fundraiser to support one or more of the area’s fine local charities or non-profit organizations. This year, all proceeds were donated to Good Samaritan Shelter, Ephrata. A check, in the amount of $300 was presented to Nate Hoffer, the director of Good Samaritan Shelter to aid the organization in its mission. The shelter is a housing program for women and children and also operates as an emergency shelter and transitional housing program. The shelter can accommodate ten women and 16 children at a time.

Chamber members took part in an evening of good conversation and enjoyed elegant hors d’oeuvres, beverages and desserts. For entertainment, a musician played fine piano music throughout the evening.
