For the next few weeks, the Ephrata Public Library is hosting a traveling exhibition titled “What Does it Mean to be Human?” The exhibit and programs are visiting 19 communities throughout the country. The event explores the latest scientific research into human origins and asks the question - What does it mean to be human? During the next few weeks, numerous programs are planned to encourage reflection on our humanness.
Shown is one library visitor placing her interpretation of what being human means on a wall, which will be archived by the Smithsonian. The lower photo shows several children looking at a mother and child sculpture that is part of the exhibit.
