2015 Reinholds Trinity Chapel Craft Festival

The Annual Reinholds Station Trinity Chapel Craft Festival will be presented on Saturday, August 1 on the chapel grounds along Main Street in Reinholds. The Festival starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m. This event includes traditional folk art, quality crafts, paintings, baked goods and good food, and promises to be a day of fun and entertainment while aiding in the preservation efforts of this historic landmark.

The chapel was erected in 1898 on land donated to the community by Cyrus Lutz, then owner of the Black Horse Hotel, and Sunday School services were held there until 1984. In 1987 efforts were begun to preserve the chapel for historical purposes, and the Preservation Committee was formed. In 1989, the chapel joined the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County, and in 1990 was nominated for inclusion on the National Register. Proceeds from this Festival, as well as all fundraising efforts by the Committee go toward ongoing maintenance of this landmark.

The Committee is pleased to announce that, due to the efforts of Eagle Scout candidate Matt Redcay, a new access point has been provided for the show. Visitors can now park along Chapel View Drive, and follow the directional signs to the Festival. This is in addition to the normal parking along Clearview Drive. The Committee thanks Matt and the Scouts for their continued support.
