(Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese)
In an effort to make Prom a financially accessible and eco-friendly event, the Ephrata Public Library is currently collecting gently used prom dresses, suits, and other accessories for its second annual Prom Dress Exchange. Donations can be made until Thursday, March 5. During the following weekend, local high school students are welcome to the Library Boutique so that they may browse the selection and take what they need for free.
The library will set up fitting rooms and hold drawings for prizes donated by local businesses. The Prom Dress Boutique will be open the following hours: Friday, March 6 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Patrons interested in making a donation or attending the Prom Dress Exchange can find program details by calling the library at 717-738-9291 ext. 102 or in person at 550 South Reading Road, Ephrata.
