Cocalico German Exchange Marks 10th Anniversary

(Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese)

Students from Cocalico’s partner school, the König-Karlmann Gymnasium in Altötting, Germany, are once again visiting Denver and staying with Cocalico German students and their families now through Tuesday, April 29. This year is very special and exciting because it marks the 10th Anniversary of the Cocalico German partnership. Cocalico hosted the German students for the first time in 2004 and have traveled to Germany five times since then. What a strong partnership and lifelong friendship. Gina Schneider, Cocalico’s German teacher, and Andreas Galneder, König-Karlmann’s German teacher, have worked together to successfully coordinate each year’s exchange. This year’s German teacher chaperones are Reinhard Wagner and Annette Bock. While visiting Cocalico, German students have day trips planned to Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New York City. Shown in the photo are the German exchange students at Cocalico along with Gina Schneider and Mr. Chris Irvine (principal).
