The Durlach-Mt. Airy and Lincoln Fire Companies recently visited Clay Elementary School to talk to the students during fire prevention week. The focus was “Hear the beep, where you sleep.” The fire departments are suggesting that there be a smoke detector in each bedroom, if not, then in the hallway right outside of the bedroom. They would also like every home to have a smoke detector on every floor including the basement and the attic. The students learned a lot of valuable information that could help them in an emergency.
