Anna Mae Shirk, 75, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at home.
She was born in Earl Township to late Jonas and Elizabeth (Horst) Martin and was the wife of Ammon Z. Shirk.
She was a member of the Conestoga Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Lena, wife of Wilmer Weaver of Newville, Norman, husband of Rachel (Weaver) Shirk of Ephrata, Jonas, husband of Elaine (Hoover) Shirk of Ephrata, Sarah, wife of Amos Ray Leid of Shippensburg, Harvey. husband of Lydia Ann (Hurst) Shirk of Ephrata, Marie, wife of Jason Hoover of New Enterprise; 39 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Emma (Martin) Rissler of New Enterprise, Eva (Martin) Reiff of Walnut Bottom, Luke, husband of Etta (Nolt) Martin of Denver, James, husband of Marian (Shirk) Martin of Shilo, OH, Titus, husband of Mary (Sensenig) Martin of New Holland, Harvey, husband of Ellen (Zimmerman) Martin of Dorchester, WI, Ella Martin of New Holland and a sister-in-law, Mary (Burkholder) Martin of Liberty, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ammon M. Shirk; a daughter, Elsie M. Shirk; a grandson, Timothy W. Shirk; a brother, Raymond Martin; two sisters, Betty H. Martin and Martha (Martin) Shirk.
A viewing will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the late residence, 910 Crooked Lane, Ephrata. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from the late residence at 9 AM, with further services at Conestoga Old Order Mennonite Church, 313 N. Farmersville Rd., Ephrata, at 9:30 AM, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating.
Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
