Arlene B. Meckley, 91, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.
She was born in California, PA, the daughter of the late Nathan and Hattie (Bear) Carvell and was the wife of the late Ralph Meckley, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage at his time of passing in 2022.
A member of St. John’s UCC, Denver, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching the Phillies.
Her greatest love was for her family, especially visiting with her great-grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda S. Miller, wife of Ricky, Linda S. Meckley, and Karen A. Sweigart, wife of Bruce; 5 grandchildren, Ryan A. Miller, husband of Helen, Cara N. Miller, engaged to Thomas, Meeghan C. Stambaugh, wife of Ian, Zachary A. Sweigart, husband of Tara, and Joshua B. Sweigart; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, 11:00 am at St. John’s UCC, 659 S. 4th St., Denver, with Pastor Brad Haws officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family, in Fairview Cemetery Annex.
