Betty Mae Kauffman, 94, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at home.
She was born in Newmanstown, daughter of the late Benjamin and Lizzie (Rhine) Frantz and was the wife of the late Richard Kauffman who passed away in 2019. They shared 66 years of marriage.
Betty Mae enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her Christian faith and values were very important in her life.
Betty Mae is survived by 4 daughters: Barbara Ann Kauffman, at home; Shirley Fay Kauffman, at home; Peggy Jane, wife of H. Galen Hess of Lititz; and Mildred Mae, wife of Clair W. Stauffer of Palmyra; 8 grandchildren, Isaac (Janae) Hess, Josiah (Cindy) Hess, Ruth (Rory) Glunt, Stephanie (Nathanael) Bell, Daniel (Kaitlyn) Stauffer, Jared (Kristen) Stauffer, Sean (Payge) Stauffer, and Ryan (Alexis) Stauffer; 21 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Hadley, Sierra, Gabriel, Alyvia, Josiah Jr., Kaleb, Ronin, Amaranthe, Zayne, Abel, Rayna, Anthony, Samantha, Zander, Madelyn, Malachi, Owen, Wrenley, Koa, and Reece.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Sallie Habecker, Emma Fittery, Mary Gerhart, Benjamin Frantz, and Evan Frantz.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 2 to 3 PM at the Newmanstown United Christian Church, 2 Memorial Blvd., Newmanstown. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM, with Pastor Jared Stauffer officiating. Interment will take place in the Millbach Cemetery.
