Charles O. “Chub” Weidler, 90, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Brunnerville to the late John and Bessie (Oeschsle) Weidler and was the husband of Dorothy (Steffy) Weidler.

Chub was a member of Wiest United Methodist Church, Stevens, where enjoyed singing. As a child, he was a proud Eagle Scout. During his working years, he was a supervisor at Moyer’s for 40 years and later worked as a custodian for Cocalico School District for 5 years. He was a member of Reinholds VFW, where he enjoyed shooting pool. He was also a member of Cedar Hunting Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debra Weidler; four grandchildren, Christopher, husband of Catherine Weaver, David, husband of Katelynn Weaver, Tyler Yoder, Devin, wife of Jeffrey Oberholtzer; seven great-grandchildren, Caidelynn, Cole, Jaxson, Charlotte, Scout, Evelyn and Cecilia; two sisters, Helen Ditzler and Judy Steffy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Ann, wife of Jeffrey Weaver; two sisters, Patricia Hoke, Dorothy Miller and a brother, Jere Weidler.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm, at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by his funeral service at 12 pm, with Pastor Lyle Neal officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
