Clarence M. Fittery, 87, of Denver, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at home.
He was born in Berks County, son of the late Bernard S. and Emma R. (Frantz) Fittery and was the husband of Mildred (Weidman) Fittery, with whom he shared 68 years.
He was a member of New Joy Fellowship Church. He was awarded a Middle Creek Game Preserve plaque, for farming on the game preserve for 50 years. He was the first one to farm the property.
He was a farmer for 50 years prior to his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by daughter, Brenda A. Becker, wife of the late Rodney of Mount Penn, son, Clarence E. Fittery, husband of Linda (Sellers) of Denver, 3 granddaughters, Crystal Brendle, Jamie Rolon, and Elizabeth MacFarlane; 4 grandsons, Matthew, Jared, Steven, and Tyler Fittery; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Paul, Bernard R., and Herman Fittery, 2 sisters, Esther Swope, and Emma Eberly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca S. Fittery, whom he had loved taking care of, and son, David Lee Fittery; 3 sisters, Anna Mae Eberly, Betty Fittery, and Ruth Fittery.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9 to 11:30 AM at the New Joy Fellowship, 2 Memorial Blvd., Newmanstown. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM.
Interment will take place in the Millbach Community Cemetery.
