Joyce E. Burkholder, 52, of Reinholds, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at her residence.
She was born in Ephrata to Aaron M. and Nancy S. (Zimmerman) Nolt and was the wife of Chester M. Burkholder.
She was a member of Cocalico Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). Joyce was a homemaker.
Joyce is survived by nine children, Alicia Rose, wife of Lynford H. Horning of Myerstown; Katrina Joy, wife of Conrad H. Hurst of Denver; Kyle Austin, husband of Keandria J. (High) Burkholder of Newmanstown; Shawn Andrew, husband of Sephanie J. (Hoover) Burkholder of Reinholds; Devin Ray, husband of Colleen L. (Martin) Burkholder of Reinholds; living at home in Reinholds, Kimberly Dawn Burkholder, fiancée of Donovan Fox, Aubrey Lanae Burkholder, Logan Chester Burkholder, Heidi Joyce Burkholder; five grandchildren; eight siblings, Aaron Ray, husband of Lois Nolt of Blain; Rochelle Z., wife of Jonathan Zimmerman of Denver; Linford Z., husband of Mabel Jean Nolt of Blain; Marvin Z., husband of Denise Nolt of Newport; Galen Z., husband of Janita Nolt of Loysville; Dwayne Z, husband of Anita Nolt of Newport; Wesley Z., husband of Bethany Nolt of New Bloomfield; and Brenda Z. and Quinton Rutt of Denver.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at Middlecreek Mennonite Fellowship Center, 520 PA-879, Reinholds. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9:30 AM, at the Cocalico Mennonite Church, 979 White Oak Road, Denver, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
