Allen “Ray” Nolt, 73, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, after injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Allen S. and Mary (Horst) Nolt and was the husband of Nancy (Ressler) Nolt with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Ray attended Ephrata Community Church where he was involved in the Men’s Ministry Group.

During his working years, he worked for various employers as a truck driver and valued Transport for Christ trucking ministry. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions and tinkering in his workshop. He valued helping others and enjoyed spreading the word of God.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Janelle Ranae Nolt, and Janetta Ranae, wife of Joseph Hibshman; four grandchildren, Eli Henry, Jesse Lyle, Gracelyn Mary and Katherine Janaye; siblings: Mervin H., husband of Ruby Nolt; Glenn H., husband of Ruth Ann Nolt; Leon H., husband of Anna Mary Nolt; Mary Ellen, wife of the late Abram Zimmerman; and Luke H., husband of Janice Nolt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Nolt and Erma Weaver.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm, at Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10 am, at the Fellowship Center, with Pastor Kevin Eshleman officiating.

Interment took place in Middle Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help with funeral expenses.
