Beloved wife and mother, Carla “Susie” Gerhart, 76, of Dushore, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 18, 2024.

Susie was born in Lebanon County on November 30, 1947, to Betty (Fasnacht) Alexander. She made a home with her loving husband, Frank, in Schoeneck, PA, where they raised their four daughters. She worked as a seamstress at Walter Moyer Mfg. and later at Cinderella Knitting Mills. In 1997, Frank and Susie moved to Sullivan County where they lived in Colley and later moved to Dushore.

She loved sewing, whether it was repairs or new creations. She also enjoyed gardening and especially canning and drying all that they grew. Frank and Susie would spend many hours together in their workshop working on new projects to share with family.

Susie loved spending time with her family and was affectionately called “Mem” by all. She loved the weekend family gatherings and making silly activities and games for the family.
