Charles T. Light, Jr., 76, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Myerstown to the late Charles T. Light Sr., and Lucy (Mentzer) Light and was the husband of Anna Mary Light, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
He was a member of Carpenter Community Church, Talmage, which he loved attending. Charles enjoyed fishing, bowling, going for walks, word search books, and going out for breakfast with his friends.
Charles worked for Ephrata Recycling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Charles “Charlie” T. Light, Jr., Lucille Gainer; two stepchildren, Clarence Light, Darla Light; 2 step-grandchildren; a grandson, Brandon Gainer; 6 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Dull, Ellie Firestone and Marcy Gouse.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Lillian Wentzel, Samuel Light, Leon Light and Lizzy Batorf.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10 AM at Carpenter Community Cemetery 378 Glenbook Road, Talmage, followed by a Celebration of Life service at the church.
