Faye R. Walter, 84, of Stevens, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Ephrata Manor.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Tillman and L. Evelyn (Fisher) Rupp and was the wife of George R. Walter, Jr. with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

She was a member of Wiest Memorial Chapel, Stevens, and Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid bowler and Phillies fan.

Faye worked for JJ Newbury, Ephrata, and waitressed at the family business, the Lincoln Restaurant. She was a graduate of Denver High School Class of ‘55.

In addition to her husband, Faye is survived by 3 children: Teresa M., wife of LeRoy W. Martin of Denver; Vanessa Hable, wife of Dennis Foltz of Schaefferstown; and George R. Walter, III of Stevens; 8 grandchildren, Alicia Oberholtzer and companion Brad Miller, Kelly, wife of Billy Stoltz, Jessica, wife of JP Callahan, Brandy, wife of Kurt Ansel, Torrey, husband of Stephanie Martin, Courtney Leigh Walter, Heather Folk, and Holly Clark; 13 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Bradley, Kaylin, Alissa, Ashley, Lily, Austin, Rielly, Jameson, Jaycee, Marley, Kayla and Sophia; and 3 sisters: Connie Rupp, Linda Devlin, and Donna, wife of Charlie Spade.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tillman Rupp.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., Saturday, with Pastor Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment will be private in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
