Nathan L. Martin, 78, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in East Cocalico Township to the late Noah O. and Susie G. (Landis) Martin and was the husband of Anna H. (Martin) Martin.

He was a member of Muddy Creek Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference).

Nathan worked as a farmer, and later went on to own a wholesale grocery business.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children: Karen Martin of Ephrata; Janet Martin of Ephrata; Dean, husband of Linda Martin of Ephrata; Joan Martin of Stevens; Dale, husband of Luella Martin of Ephrata; Judy, wife of Mark Zimmerman of East Earl; Marlene, wife of J. Ivan Hoover of Ephrata; Nathan, husband of Martha Martin of Stevens; and Luanne, wife of Roy Martin of Stevens; 23 grandchildren; a brother, Noah, husband of Ida Mae Martin; a sister, Naomi, wife of Melvin Horst; a brother-in-law, Jesse Brubacher; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Simeon Martin; five sisters: Irene Martin, Pheobe Weaver, Mamie Rissler, Sarah Brubacher and Susie Habegger.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the late residence, 549 Hahnstown Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 8:30 AM, at the residence, with further services from 9:30 AM, at Muddy Creek Church, 531 S. Muddy Creek Road, Denver, with Bishop Leon Zimmerman officiating.
